There have been many stories recently about ground breaking broadband projects around the world with many places receiving 100Mbps connections. Japan is the latest country to up the ante. They have recently implemented the quickest broadband available on the planet.

The new service in Japan provides speeds of 160Mbps. They are utilising the same technology as Virgin Media in the UK to provide 50Mbps. This is good news for Virgin customers and backs up their statements that they will be able to provide speeds in excess of 100Mbps.

The service in Japan comes in at just over £40 a month which is seriously good value.
